Takeout Doubles Breakdown: (Part 5 of 24) Making the Game-forcing Cue Bid – Introduction

Advancer’s first priority is to consider whether or not to pass and convert overcaller’s takeout double to penalty. We almost never do this. Advancer’s second priority is to determine if the partnership has enough for game. If so, they make a game-forcing cue bid by bidding the opponents’ suit at the cheapest level.
