Level of Fit: (Part 1 of 6) Introduction

Level of fit is an important competitive auction tool. We use level of the fit as a preemptive bid to disrupt the auction, making it difficult (sometimes impossible) for the opponents to bid to the correct contract. Like all preemptive bids, we do not expect to make the contract, but do expect to lose less points by making the bid, than if we had not.
