Ideally, we are keeping track of all four suits. This is a skill we build with practice. We start by counting one suit and then when we are comfortable, we add another until eventually, we are counting all four suits. When you are working your way up, it’s important to pick which suits you are going to keep track of in the beginning of the hand. On this hand, even though you are on defense, I want you to keep track of the trump suit. You will have an important decision to make on trick twelve and only by keeping careful track of trump will you set this hand.
